Love Love's Birthday Short Trip
2D1N to Port Dickson Avillion
On my Birthday, we went to Krabi.. Therefore, I was hoping that love can enjoy himself going on a trip too. Who knows.... The day before the trip was disastrous ! I bought the cheap deal of $118/pax for 2D1N stay with coach transfers on deals.com.sg. The travel agent selling is was GEL travel and we had our worse experience ever with an agency. I shall not go into details on what happen, but just imagine, the day before your trip, you do not know who is picking you up, where to take the pickup, how to get home. Scary enough? Love had to storm down to the agency at Smith Street to look for the boss. We also consulted some travel trade friends and to find out that, it is not very wise to buy packages from GEL anymore.
The only good thing is, the boss of GEL travel knows how to calm your nerves. He gave us the itinerary of tour ONLY UPON door knock. If you dont storm into his office, basically, you might end up missing the coach and pay more to board a taxi to the resort.. Contriubuting to Malaysia's economy.
Here is how it goes:
0830am : Coach pickup at West Coast Plaza
(the coach only arrives at 0930am. Best of all, the driver does not know how to get to tuas checkpoint)

1100pm : Coach reaches JB stop for a 20mins rest
0100pm : Coach reaches Malacca
(Whats next? Its our first time in malacca and there were no instructions given by the driver. We fumbled and remembered counter 6 at malacca centre is their coach counter, so we make our way to the counter. Dont know what to expect. Luckily we were right ! The resort pickup guy is there waiting for us)

0200pm : Mini Van depart to Avillion Port Dickson
0330pm : Finally ! Reached the Resort with a BIG RELIEF. Was feeling all tired and unwell from the jerky road trip in the super old minivan.
1818, City Express Coach Number to Malacca
We were sleepy but still excited about the journey at this POINT of time.
This is the mini van that fetched us from Malacca to Resort.
We are already extremely tired and disppointed seeing this van, faulty aircondition, torn seats and sunken cushions. I wonder how did the pregnant lady manage (we have one traveling with us).
However, we are still feeling very lethargic.
The traveling on bus had given us bloated stomach and bus sickness i guess.
I dont like to climb stairs. And the ground level chalets looks more pleasant. Those on the 2nd storey had a different exterior aesthetic, like built of wood, dont like.

Another day bed by window, good for a third sharer.
TV channels in the room are rather boring and the cable reception was not very good. Most of the time, we failed to tune to the one and only Malaysian chinese channel.
Like love said, a walk-in bathroom which you can roll about, all you want.
Squeezy standing shower though.
A separate toilet cubicle.
We bought Macdonalds at Malacca bus terminal. Decided to have it on the day bed and watching tv at the same time.. Our burgers and fries had gone diluted. And our drinks? you should know.
But when you are hungry, anything is nice to have.

After a few hours of slacking in bed, Love finally sounded, "Lets go out and explore".
I replied, "OK !" (actually, I meant "huh, can we rest another hour..")
I was so dead tired.
I offically declare, I dislike Coach trips.
OKay, as you can see, how the water chalet looks like on stilts. You have to pay more for that, and I personally think it is not worth the money. Garden Chalets looks nicer.. hehe.
Water activities.
I dont mind trying them the next time I visit again.
The resort has 2 private beaches.
This is Raui Beach. And you see, they had tentage for private dinners arrangements.

The Jacuzzis are redundant, so dont bother ! They are more like water pouting points.

In the pool vicinity, you will spot the gym and recreational room.
Recreational activites here are expensive. A Price which you will expect in Singapore!
They have little resting, dreaming and pondering points for the 'authors' they called it.

Food is good I must say.. Price wise, is like Sg restaurant.
Main courses ranging from SGD$16++ to $25++
The rabbits you will get to see in their mini habitat.
Daily feeding at 10am where guest are welcome to join in the fun.
Rabbits, Turtle, Peacock, Rooster.
This is the other end of the resort with a small private beach named Tumasek.
The sky was rather cloudy and grey on the day we arrive.
This is the best shot I get in the evening with a much prettier tone.

Avi Spa House
Facilities are members only access.
However, if you sign up for services here, i believe you can access them too.
The prettiest place in Avillion.
Not to be missed! I will try it next time.

The Morning Breakfast was acceptable. Not fantastic.
I have not told you that the resort has a 3rd pool - the adult pool !
Guess our visit on a Thursday was off peak season, we hardly see anybody swims.
Craving for icecream? You might have to hold on to that urge.
Their mini potong stick cost me $4.60 ringgit.
Check out ! Feeling heavy hearted even though the front desk had given us a late check out at 1:30pm.

This arent the best trip we had, because I Krabi is still unbelieveably amazing. I wish you enjoyed yourself in the resort. Sorry, I did not hug you to sleep that night cause I knocked out before you. Well, but I fell asleep in your arms on the next day and had a short nap =D Lets go on a short trip twice a year or a long trip once a year ! Hee !
